It’s January, which means it’s time to set some great goals for your year, AND of course the New Year IT Cosmetics TSV! There’s a new product in this January’s collection, and I think you’re going to be excited!
Here’s what is included in the New Year, New Confidence In Your Skin collection.
Confidence In A Compact Skin-Transforming Full Coverage Solid Super Serum Foundation with spf50
Confidence In A Cream moisturizer
Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream
Heavenly Skin Skin-Smoothing Complexion Brush
This angled brush is all new, as well as the new foundation formula. I’ve done a little experimenting with the solid serum foundation and will give you my initial thoughts. It provides more coverage than the CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid foundation, but is less full coverage than the Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream. It feels like a solid concealer, that goes on creamy but dries somewhere between powdery and dewy. I found that it sinks into my pores more than the CC+ Cream. Using the Bye Bye Pores Oil Free Primer helps a lot, as does setting with the Bye Bye Pores Airbrush Powder (loose or pressed). I think this lightweight feeling medium coverage foundation is a great option for combination or dry skin, but someone like me with oily skin will do better with the powder Celebration Foundation formula. I do like the coverage of the Confidence In A Compact Serum Foundation, and found it to cover redness very well. There are 7 shade options available for this TSV.
I have an extra foundation, cream, and eye cream that I want to giveaway to YOU!! The shade I have is medium. Please enter to win below. Good luck, and Happy New Year! <3

The glo minerals Bold Pursuit Collection for eyes and lips has all you need for a glam NYE look. This kit contains my absolute favorite cream eye shadows, the Cream Stay Shadow Sticks. The kit includes Toast (light mocha frost) and Echo (cool matte taupe). These two shades can be used alone or layered to created a smoky and smudgy taupe eye look.
I love the how easy the cream stay shadow sticks are to use. You don’t even need an eye primer. Just draw on your lid, smudge with your finger and GO. I’ve been obsessed with them since the summer, for their ease of use and lasting power. glo minerals also included an illuminating peach eye pencil to use on your inner corner or waterline for a brightening effect. For the final touch in this long lasting eye look, the black liquid ink liner is smudge proof and perfect for a late night of celebrating. The lipstick included is a creamy deep berry shade in a moisturizing formula.
Courtney has been Urban Decay obsessed for years. Find out what her must-have favorites are. Do you love them too?

Supermodel and face of Guerlain, Natalia Vodianova collaborated with Guerlain’s Creative Director of Makeup, Olivier Echaudemaison to create the holiday collection this year. The pair was inspired by the legend of Shalimar fragrance and India. You will see they used gold and sapphire frequently in their collection. A portion of the proceeds will go to Natalia’s Naked Heart Foundation, to benefit children with disabilities.
I have to admit, of all the holiday collections, Guerlain holds a place in my heart. I’m always excited to see what they come up with each year. Last years’ collection was less shimmery, and more wearable for everyday. This holiday season, Guerlain has gone glamorous and shimmery. Some items are super wearable, some will be for an elegant night out. ALL will be treasured additions to my little Guerlain Holiday collection.
Météorites Perles de Légende are inspired by the pigments of India, and contain pink to refresh skin, gold to illuminate, and blue to softly color correct. Guerlain’s iconic holiday balls are housed in a royal blue and gold tin this year. I find the holiday Météorites to be the ultimate addition for a beauty collector each year.
If you’re looking for a gift that is a unique take on fragrance, the Souffle d’Or de Shalimar Perfumed Iridescent Powder is a lovely idea. The elegant sapphire and gold atomizer contains a fine gold shimmery scented powder for body and hair.
The Rouge G Exceptional Complete Lip Color is by far the most luxurious lipstick in my collection. The gold and sapphire case opens to reveal a mirror (so handy!) and a classic red Bindi inspired shade. The luxe satin formula contains hyaluronic acid and mango butter for ultra smooth lips.
The Ecrin Shalimar Eyeshadow duo is an elegant and wearable compact with gold and metallic blue shimmery shades inspired by gold and sapphire Indian jewels.
This holiday, Guerlain has a shimmery Terracotta Terra India Bronzer to add to the iconic collection. The blue lacquer case contains a golden illuminating bronzer embossed with a pattern inspired by Indian drawings.
The Guerlain L’Or Eyeliner Gold Felt Tip liner is a fun and playful addition to the sophisticated Holiday Collection. This adds serious sparkle to any holiday look this season.
The pink pearly tone of the Precious Light Illuminator pen highlights all skin tones with a subtle shift.
What do you think about this years Guerlain Holiday collection? Will you be picking anything up?
The Holidays are such a fun time for any beauty lover, aren’t they? There are so many amazing kits and holiday specials every year. I have two IT Cosmetics brush sets, which in my opinion are absolute must-haves for anyone that wears makeup. My IT brushes account for 75% of my brush collection, so you could say I’m completely biased. I love IT’s brushes, and have used them for several years. I can tell you with certainty they hold up better than any other brush I’ve used. I’ve only had to toss one brush after 3 years, because it was shedding and must have had some loosening in the ferrule.
This Holiday season, IT has several fun releases. The City Chic 5 piece ultra luxe skin loving brush set and case includes a powder brush, angled blush brush, foundation brush, eyeshadow brush, and a crease brush. The brushes are absolutely gorgeous, with a rose-gold ombre handle and come with a chic rose-gold metallic bag. This set is only available at ULTA, and retails for $68.
The other set literally made me gasp when I opened it. I am a sucker for glitter, whether it’s in my nail polish, eyeshadow, and now… my makeup brushes! This set just makes me happy! The All That Glitters 5 piece must have luxe skin loving brush set and case comes with the brilliant powder brush, radiant foundation brush, stunning eyeshadow brush, luminous concealer brush, and dazzling liner/brow brush. This sparkly set is housed in an equally glittery silver clutch with a magnetized closure. I love this case for my purse or travel!
The silver glitter handles of these brushes aren’t perfectly smooth, but they aren’t rough either. They are a little textured. It’s a different feel for a brush, but not necessarily good or bad – just something to mention. This set retails for $58, and is only available at ULTA.
If you need a new palette with some IT Cosmetics Holiday favorites, I would highly recommend the new Je Ne Sais Quoi Complexion Perfection palette. I’ll have a closer look at that in a few days, so stay tuned!
It’s November, which means it’s time for another QVC TSV from IT Cosmetics! This time we are treated to IT Superstars! Included in this month’s TSV are the following:
- Celebration Foundation Illumination
- Bye Bye Under Eye
- Brow Power
- Je Ne Sais Quoi Hydrating Color Awakening Lip Treatment
- Superhero Mascara
- Heavenly Skin Full-Coverage Foundation Brush
This 5 piece set will cost $59.95. Wether you are new to IT Cosmetics, or like me, have loved them for years, this is a deal too good to pass up! I currently love and use each product in the IT Superstars kit. The Superhero mascara I’ve just recently tried, and I’m completely hooked. Thanks to my lash serum, my lashes are quite long at the moment, so when I use the Superhero mascara it looks like I have falsies on. If you love a voluminous fringy lash you need to try it!
The TSV will begin on Saturday November 12th, but if you use the link below you can grab it early. Let me know if you have product or shade questions, and I can help you out!
Find the IT Superstars on sale at QVC for $59.95.

My skin has gone through some serious changes in the past year. Six months even. I went from having the worst skin of my life, to having the best skin I’ve ever had. It’s not perfect, but for me, it’s close to it!
One thing I’ve had to do is completely change my foundation routine. I can’t use my favorite full coverage CC cream any longer, because it’s too emollient. My dry skin decided to change to super oily about 6 months ago. I’ve tried endless foundations in search of something that was medium coverage that won’t look cakey, won’t clog my pores and cause me to breakout, and won’t melt off my face in an hour. That’s no small task! I’ve found a handful of liquid foundations that I love, and I have to share one of my favorites with you today.
I was sent the new Clinique Superbalanced Silk Makeup at the end of the Summer, so I’ve given it a thorough test in heat and humidity, and also cool Fall days. Once of my first non drugstore foundations as a teen was the original Clinique Superbalanced, so I have had a good experience before. I was excited to test out the new formula.
Clinique says this oil free foundation is meant for oily or dry/combo skin types. My opinion is that it works well on all but very dry skin. It claims that this balances skin, controls oil and hydrates where needed. I wouldn’t disagree. The makeup lasts too. It still looks great after 10-12 hours, which is the longest I go with makeup on. I like the finish without using a setting powder, but I can get away with only blotting once if I set with my oil free Clinique Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder. It’s light enough to set the foundation without changing the finish.
Clinique says the Superbalanced Silk is a natural matte finish. I think of it as a radiant matte. That sounds odd, but it’s got a lovely healthy look to it without being glowy. There’s no shimmer or anything in it so I can’t quite figure it out, but I promise you’ll glow. I add some radiance to my skin with my go to highlight these days, the Uplighting Illuminating Powder in Nude Glow. It’s pictured above next to the foundation.
This foundation is a steal at $25, considering it takes very little to get the coverage I’m looking for. Have you tried this? Any other Clinique faves?
