It’s time to change up our makeup routines, and lighten things up for Spring! I don’t know about you, but this was a LOOOOOONG winter here in New England. I’m ready to lighten up the winter makeup, in favor of a quick neutral eye look with a pop of color on my cheeks and lips. I’d rather be outside enjoying the nice weather, than doing a complicated makeup routine. Not to mention the fact that it’s allergy season, and raccoon eyes aren’t “IN.”
Here’s what I’m using for my glo minerals spring beauty look:
Candle Shimmer Duo – this beautiful highlight will not only make you look good, but you can feel good knowing that glo minerals donates a portion of the proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This highlight duo contains ivory and golden champagne shades that brighten the skin when applied to the high points of your face (top of cheeks, browbone, center of nose, cupids bow and chin). Both shades make beautiful eyeshadows as well.
Mineral Eyeshadow Singles – these talc free, high pigment mineral shadows can be used lightly as a wash of gentle color, or layered for a more dramatic look. The skin loving formula contains an anti oxidant blend of vitamins a, c and e, and green tea extract. I am using the shades Haze, Twig, Sand Pebble and Orchid.
Papaya Blush– This vibrant matte peach adds a pop of color, beautiful on all skin tones. Highly pigmented smooth mineral formula, enriched with antioxidants.
Suede Matte Lip Crayon in Demure has become a fast favorite in my spring beauty bag. The chubby pencil has a sharpener on the cap (genius!) and a moisturizing formula with shea butter, mango oil, and vitamins. This long lasting lip pencil has an on trend velvet finish, that doesn’t feel the least bit dry.
For my glo minerals easy spring look, I gently buffed Twig into my crease with a fluffy brush, blending well. I patted Haze onto my entire lid with a soft flat shadow brush, and blended a bit above the crease. I patted on Sand Pebble on the outer third of my lid, and applied a bit of Orchid to my outer v. I used a wet angled brush to apply Orchid to my upper lash line. I applied the lighter shade from the shimmer duo to the inner corner, under my brow bone, down the bridge of my nose, my cupids bow, chin and the top of my cheek bones. I patted the champagne gold shade from the duo on my lid and to the center of my lip after applying the Demure lip pencil. What do you think of this easy spring look? I’m sure I’ll be using these naturally pretty shades often this spring and summer!
