DefineMe isn’t your traditional indie fragrance company. This young brand is created by Jennifer McKay Newton, Interior Designer and candle entrepreneur. DefineMe Fragrance is a collection of It-Girl perfumes designed to inspire and empower. Each scent has a set intention to be a wearable inspiration of your own strength, confidence, and passion for life. Giving back is the backbone of DefineMe Fragrance, and each bottle sold donates $1 to She’s The First, a non-profit that provides educational scholarships to girls in low-income countries.
I have to say, hearing the back story, and the creator’s love for perfume and female empowerment makes me love this company even more. I was sent the Girls’ Night Set, which contains Audry and Sofia Isabel scents.
The perfume oil is coconut based, and comes in a roller ball with 9ml of fragrance oil.
Audry is a lovely soft feminine floral blend with notes of peony, rose, jasmine, and sandalwood. The scent is beautiful, and truly a blend that speaks to me. It’s romantic and girly, and a perfect scent to wear when on a date with my hubby, or snuggled up together enjoying some (rare) kid free moments.
Sofia Isabel is a fun and bright scent with notes of mandarin, black currant, jasmine, and sugar. This scent is a little stronger and has more throw than Audry. It’s a playful and cheerful scent perfect for any occasion. This is my husbands favorite scent of the two.
I found both fragrance blends to have good lasting power, and as the DefineMe scents are meant to be played with and layered they smell great mixed! I’m looking forward to trying the other 4 scents. I’m especially excited to try the lilac scents (Clara and Delphine) because it’s my favorite flower.
If you love fragrance as much as I do, and have ever thought about creating your own scent, check out this article on the DefineMe website. If you’ve tried DefineMe, let me know your thoughts!
