This month’s perfume collection from my Olfactif monthly box was based around the scent of leather. I was really excited about this collection! As usual, Olfactif did not disappoint! Here are the three scents included in November’s box:
Cuirelle by Ramon Monegal
Somali incense, Indonesian patchouli, bourbon vetiver, Virginian cedarwood, cinnamon, and beehive absolute.
Dzing! by L’Artisan Parfumeur
White iris, ginger, white cedarwood, toffee, daffodil, patchouli, saffron, benzoin, musks, and leather.
Ashoka by Neela Vermeire Créations
Lotus, rose, water hyacinth, fig leaf, parsley leaf, osmanthus absolute, cassie absolute (acacia farnesiana), iris, incense essence, jasmine sambac, fig milk, geranium, ylang-ylang, fir balsam absolute, myrrh, cedarwood, sandalwood, vanilla accord, ambergris, birch, Haitian vetiver, leather, styrax, and heliotrope.
Leather as a perfume note is a hard scent for me to describe. I typically love it on my skin, as it smells warm and sensual without being heavy and overpowering. This month’s selections could be worn by women or men, and would smell heavenly on anyone. If you haven’t already subscribed to Olfactif, I can’t recommend it highly enough! It’s my favorite subscription box! I’ve found so many perfumers and artists to fall in love with since my first box.
Normally the kittens love to help with the Olfactif unboxing. They were particularly sleepy on this day, if you couldn’t tell…
Such a rough life they have helping me out! At least I let Oliver get back to his beauty sleep after posing for a few pics!
