Welcome back to Top 10 Tuesday!! Today my fellow blogging beauties and I are sharing our Top 10 Eyeshadow Palettes with you. Let me tell you….I LOVE my eyeshadow palettes. It was hard to narrow it down to just 10. Clearly, I love neutrals. Also obviously anytime a new neutral palette comes out, I “need” it. I’m going to refer myself back to this post often to remember I don’t need more eyeshadow! 😉
First up is Make Up For Ever Artist Palette Vol 1 – this high quality palette is filled with mostly satin or shimmery neutrals. It’s gorgeous and my go-to for a really quick but pulled together look. I also love that these shades all seem to brighten my eyes. My only wish, is that it had a matte light brown for the crease. Otherwise I can’t complain. The matte black is super long lasting and pigmented, making it great for the lash line.
Tarte’s Rainforest After Dark Colored Clay Eye & Cheek palette has been a favorite since last summer. I’ve almost hit pan on the bronzer! I reach for this all the time, for a great brown/gold/plum look. I also love having blush, bronzer and highlight in the same palette. It’s great for traveling.
Earlier this summer Tarte released the Showstopper Clay Palette. This is much more warm toned than the Rainforest palette, with rich eyeshadow shades and a vibrant peach blush.
My love for purple eyeshadow is not far behind my neutrals. The Tarte Energy Noir palette houses a nice mix of matte and shimmery shades in taupe, ivory, tan, mauve and plum. The blush and powder liner shades are gorgeous and long wearing. This is probably the best Tarte palette I have. I love it!
The next palette I purchased for only one shade. Pink Champagne. I had to have it, and happened to have lots of ULTA rewards points and a 20% off coupon. I picked it up, and fell in LOVE. Not only with Pink Champagne, but with almost all of the shades. This is a stunning collection of beautiful shadows, and has me wanting to try more from Anastasia. I can’t recommend the Anastasia Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette highly enough. Grab it!! Also I’m kicking myself for not grabbing the Tamanna palette last year.
On a recent Sephora trip, I found myself wandering with a gift card to spend and this beauty was finally in store. The Laura Mercier Eye Art Artist’s palette has gorgeous purples and pinks, but also great shades for blending and lining. I’m SO glad I picked it up.
The Smashbox Full Exposure palette is such a great basic palette with a solid selection of light to dark matte and shimmer shades. The double ended brush is really nice too.
I love that the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette has a great mix of browns, and also some pretty purples and burgundy. This palette has some really beautiful shades that make my blue eyes pop. Bonus that it smells good enough to eat!
The LORAC PRO palette is filled with beautifully pigmented shades in a variety of finishes. This palette works well on a variety of skin tones, and eye colors.
I think this was the palette that began my love of neutral eyeshadow palettes. My good old (original) Urban Decay Naked Palette has the best crease shades ever (Naked and Buck), along with 10 other gorgeous and highly pigmented shades. I never touch my Naked 2&3 palettes, but the original is my go-to.
What are your favorite palettes? I’d love to hear! Not that I need anymore enabling…
