I have a confession to make. I can’t curl my hair for the life of me. A beauty blogger that can’t master the trendy beach waves?! Curling irons, curling wands, curling with a flat iron…none of them work. I’m just not coordinated enough. Needless to say, I was a bit skeptical going into this shop for Collective Bias. Excited to try the Conair Curl Secret, yes, but worried I wouldn’t be able to get results!
I purchased my Curl Secret from Walmart. It’s currently priced at $99, compared to $150 on the Curl Secret website. I have a thing for saving money AND instant gratification!
After watching the you tube videos and reading the instructions, I was ready! It sounded almost too good to be true! All you do is start with clean and completely dry hair that is combed out. The Infiniti Pro Curl Secret has a tourmaline ceramic coating on the curl chamber, which is actually inside. That’s right, there’s no burning yourself (or your forehead…ear…you get the idea!) involved!
I sectioned off my hair, starting underneath. I have thick, heavy hair that is several inches shorter in the back than the front. The Curl Secret has a high and a low setting, and also 8, 10 or 12 second timer setting.
I used the high setting for 8 seconds to achieve a gorgeous loose curl.
Here is exactly what I did for gorgeous, long lasting curls: I took a section of my hair that was between 1/2 to 1 inch wide and positioned the Curl Secret where I wanted the curl to start. Then you close the curler over that hair and it gently winds the hair into the curl chamber, wait for the beeps and voila!! A perfect uniform curl every single time. THAT IS IT!! I couldn’t believe how fast and easy it was! Remember I said I have thick, heavy hair? I was done curling in 10 minutes. Really. And even better, it lasted 2 days!
When my daughter, Jaya, saw how much fun I was having she wanted me to do her hair too!
I have to say, I was shocked. Jaya is the least girly-girl I know. I guess that’s what happens when you have three older brothers! We had so much fun doing our hair together, and she loved taking pictures of my hair!
Even if you aren’t as clumsy as I am with a curling iron, I highly recommend the Curl Secret. It will make curling your hair so much easier and faster! If you’ve tried the Conair Curl Secret already, I’d love to hear your experience!
