I’ve been loving the IT Cosmetics CC+ cream this summer. It is touted as a color correction full coverage cream, anti aging hydrating serum and SPF 50+ UVA/UVB broad spectrum natural physical(chemical free) sunscreen.
IT Cosmetics CC+ cream combines the latest technology in skin care and color correcting makeup. Makeup that improves my skin over time? Yes, please!! It should also be noted that IT Cosmetics are cruelty free and paraben free.
The active ingredients of the IT Cosmetics CC+ cream are Titanium Dioxide 9% and Zinc Oxide 6.3%. The inactive ingredients are too long to list, but they are on the IT Cosmetic website. Don’t let the laundry list of ingredients scare you, most are natural and beneficial for your skin!
I just want to mention that the second ingredient on the inactive list is snail secretion filtrate. Now, I have seen this in some Asian BB creams and skin care. I contacted the IT Cosmetics customer service, who got right back to me and was extremely helpful and couldn’t be any nicer! Good customer service is SO important in my book!
Here’s the response that I received from IT Cosmetics –
Snail secretion filtrate is collected from leaves and flowers after a snail makes its way over them. This ingredient is collected, washed and then filtered to remove any debris, dust and contamination from the surface. This process does not harm the snails in any way and we at IT Cosmetics would not have it any other way 🙂 This ingredient is extremely hydrating and promotes healing within the skin! Here’s the link, because I know you are curious like me! Do I really want snail mucous from it’s undercarriage in my skincare? YES, you do!!
It’s all in the name of beauty, right??
I have the color “light” which is in my opinion about an N20 in MAC. I can get away with this in the summer, but I would have to use “fair” in the winter. I have dry skin, so I apply my day face cream under the IT CC cream. I apply the first thin layer with my hands. I did try application with a brush, but I liked the finish better when I used my hands. I apply a second thin layer after allowing the first to dry for several minutes. I usually add a bit of concealer on my dark spots/acne scarring after applying the CC cream. I would really consider this to be full coverage and well pigmented. It does give skin a dewy look, so you may want to set this with powder.
When I set the IT CC+ cream with my Tarte Amazonian Clay setting powder it lasts 8+ hours on a summer day. Not bad at all! If you haven’t tried IT Cosmetics yet, you really should. Everything I have tried from the line is really innovative and just plain fabulous!!
