The Le Mieux Skin Perfecter is the ultra sonic beauty tool you didn’t know you were missing. This small, wireless handheld skin care tool has a metal spatula on the end that emits 28,000 ultrasonic vibrations per second. Now, I love my sonic skin care brush as much as any beauty tool lover – but sometimes my skin gets irritated with the bristles.
I first learned of the Le Mieux Skin Perfecter at a spa. I had an acne ultrasonic facial, and was astounded at how smooth my skin was after. I knew I had to have my own device to use regularly!
Here’s what the Skin Perfecter does:
The Le Mieux Skin Perfecter glides over wet skin producing ultrasonic waves that pulverize water, creating micronized particles that deep cleanse pores of excess oil and impurities, exfoliate cellular debris, extract black and white heads, reduce the look of enlarged pores, and resurface lines and wrinkles. As an added benefit, the ultrasonic waves accelerate the absorption of serums and other topical skin care. A clinical study confirmed that the Skin Perfecter is far more effective than applying products with your hands.
The Le Mieux Skin Perfecter had a bit of a learning curve for me, but I am quicker and more confident now that I’ve been consistently using it for a few months. The benefits are immediate, from visibly smoothing rough skin texture, to extracting blackheads from within clogged pores. Over time I have noticed my skin getting smoother, which makes for much better makeup application and appearance. The ultrasonic Skin Perfecter also resurfaces and lessens fine lines and wrinkles over time. It can be used gently around the eyes.
The Skin Perfecter has 4 levels of intensity, and a rechargeable battery. The metal spatula on the end is sanitized by wiping it clean with alcohol. You do not need to replace the head, which is one more reason this is a great long-term investment in your anti aging skin care routine. The tool is recommended to be used 3 times per week, for 3 minutes. It takes me longer than 3 minutes personally, but it’s worth it! I’ve also noticed if I have a fresh acne scar and I concentrate the Skin Perfecter on it, it lightens more quickly than if I do nothing to it. You also can use the Skin Perfecter on acne prone skin (which is what my skin is) without worry. It always seems to heal my break outs quicker, unless they are cystic and deep.
I’d recommend once a week using a mask/treatment after you use the Skin Perfecter. I’ve listed links to my faves below! I’d love to hear some of your favorite skin care masks, so please leave me a comment if you’re using something you love. 🙂
You can find the Le Mieux Skin Perfecter on QVC, online, and at select salons and spas. The retail price is $225, but on QVC it’s $189 or $94.50 for two easy payments. Le Mieux also has a skin care line. You can find reviews on that here: Le Mieux Skin Care on Crazy Beautiful Makeup
Kari Gran is an eco luxe natural skin care line made with organic, wild harvested and non-gmo ingredients. Kari founded her brand out of necessity. As a beauty junkie, she took note of what was passing through her skin after her diagnosis with an auto immune disease. She was compelled to create the products she desired, while making them simple, effective, natural, and safe.
All Kari Gran products are cruelty free, paraben and toxin free.
I’ve been using the Kari Gran skin care starter kit($35), which is composed of a 15ml glass pump of Cleansing Oil, a 15ml spray of Lavender or Rose Hydrating Tonic, and 10ml of Essential Serum. The cleansing oil is luxurious and smells beautiful, while being an effective and gentle makeup remover or morning cleanser. I love the way it makes my skin feel, completely clean but not stripped. The Cleansing Oil is sunflower oil based, with avocado, castor seed and lavender oils. The Hydrating Tonic I chose was the Rose, which contains aloe vera leaf distillate, glycerin, and rose oil. I spray my face twice after cleansing, then immediately apply the Essential Serum. The serum has many skin loving ingredients, including camellia seed and rosehip oils, calendula, arnica, and jojoba oils. The serum is gentle and nourishing, and can be applied all over the face, eyes, neck, and decollete.
Kari Gran may be most well-known for her iconic Lip Whips($15-$20). These soothing buttery lip treatments come in a Naked version, or you can experiment with tints, colors, and scents. I have the Naked Whip, which is my go to overnight treatment. It’s a must have for cooler weather! The Cinnamon Pimenta Berry is just as soothing, but adds a hint of pink shine. Exfoliate your lips before bed, apply this over night and you will wake up to the softest lips ever.
Have you tried anything from Kari Gran? Any favorites? If you are interested in mineral makeup, her line also includes foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadow and setting powder.
Did you know the number one dermatologist recommended cosmetic anti-aging ingredient is retinol? Retinol is a vitamin A derived antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals. Free radicals are unstable oxygen molecules that break down skin cells, and in turn cause wrinkles. Retinol works by encouraging cell turnover to retexture skin. Being mid 30s, with texture and acne issues, RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream is giving my skin hope. While I don’t have wrinkles yet, retinol is one ingredient that you can start using to prevent wrinkles, in your 20s. I’ve used retinol products since my teens, and I know that played an important role in my anti-aging routine. RoC® RETINOL skin care products are packaged in an aluminum tube, protecting the retinol from air and light, keeping it stable and active.
The cooler Fall weather means I need to kick up my nighttime skin routine a notch. I’m adding RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream every other night at bedtime. It’s important to use active skin care ingredients overnight, when your skin is most receptive to repair and renew itself. I also like to sleep with a humidifier in my room to help protect against dry winter skin. Don’t forget to drink lots of water to stay hydrated and supple from the inside out!
Important information: RoC® RETINOL is up to 2x stronger than imitators based on vitro RETINOL activity in RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream.
From Board Certified New York Dermatologist Dr. Debra Jaliman:
To age gracefully, two of the most important ingredients to include in your skincare routine are SPF and the less obvious, retinol. Retinol is a champion when it comes to smoothing fine lines and deep wrinkles. I suggest introducing an over the counter retinol into your regimen as early as your mid-20s! Overnight your skin works to repair itself, so it’s important to have a good bedtime facial routine. RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream is clinically proven and contains a mix of pure retinol and an essential mineral complex, which is designed to work through the night to help reduce the appearance of deep wrinkles.
RoC® Skincare is inviting all women (and men!) to take the #RoCRetinolResolution and start using clinically proven RoC® RETINOL CORREXION® Deep Wrinkle Night Cream to visibly smooth wrinkles in just 4 weeks. Find RoC® products at Walmart. You will be on your way to a most beautiful you this holiday season!
Visit www.rocretinolresolution.com and make your pledge to take the RoC® RETINOL RESOLUTION before 11/30, and be entered to win a fabulous giveaway!

Happy Fall – and time to switch up skin care routines a bit! Here are a few new items I’ve added to my rotation.
Murad Intensive-C Radiance Peel $55 and Murad Essential-C Night Moisture $65 – brighten, exfoliate, smooth, and accelerate cell turnover with the peel. The night moisturizer neutralizes free radicals, and encourages collagen synthesis. Murad has fantastic skin care lines, for nearly every skin concern you may have. The vitamin c line is my favorite!
OZ Naturals Retinol serum $25 – This is my first experience with OZ Naturals, and I’m going to definitely try more of the line. I like the natural ingredients, and appreciate what they leave out (parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, gluten etc). I also love that it’s affordable and cruelty free. The serum includes astaxanthin and vitamin e, in addition to 2.5% retinol. I found the serum to be extremely gentle and effective. I use it several times a week to brighten/fade acne scarring and as an anti aging serum. If you are looking for a non irritating retinol, this serum is a great place to start. You can find this on Amazon for $25.
Shiseido ‘Ibuki’ Multi Solution Gel $38 – this gel creme hybrid is a unique product that isn’t quite like anything in my skin care arsenal. It has a low dose of salicylic acid (0.5%) to combat breakouts and exfoliate and smooth problem areas. If you have trouble with acne you can use this as a spot treatment, or also use it all over under makeup to smooth and refine skin. I find it works especially well on pimples that are overly dry from treating overnight with strong acne meds. This soothing gel calms flaky areas, making makeup apply (and stick) better.
Guerlain ‘Meteorites Oxygene Care’ Moisturizer & Radiance Booster $75 – this luxe violet scented lotion contains a light reflecting polymer to soften surface imperfections and brighten skin upon application. The magic of Guerlain skin care smooths and evens skin over time. I love the texture of this lightweight fluid, and the Guerlain scent is intoxicating! The light texture sinks into skin immediately, leaving skin supple. The Meteorites moisturizer also serves a dual purpose, in addition to being a great moisturizer I found it to work perfectly as a brightening makeup primer.
Dr. Brandt Oxygen Flash Recovery Mask $69 – this 3 minute foaming oxygenating mask revitalizes and brightens skin. This mask comes out like a slightly sticky lotion, and it starts to foam and expand when you rub it on your skin. It feels nice, and my skin felt extra clean and ready to absorb my serum and moisturizer after using it.
Have you changed your skin care with the season? I’d love to hear what you’re loving! I have an extra Shiseido Ibuki Multi Solution Gel to giveaway. It’s open to readers in the US only. Good luck! a Rafflecopter giveaway
In my quest for more natural bath and body products, that smell just as delicious as a dessert, I stumbled on FarmHouse Fresh. This woman owned, award winning spa line consists of moisturizers, cleansers, scrubs, candles, and innovative facial products. Made with raw materials, everything is 90-99% natural and free from parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Most products are vegan and gluten free. There’s a great chart on the website with up front and honest info about each product. FarmHouse Fresh is not only a great natural option, the products and scents are amazing! Here’s what I tried:
Honey Magnolia Body Oil – this 4oz ($18) glass pump is filled with the most deliciously scented oil, soft fresh honey, and creamy magnolia. You can apply the grapeseed and olive antioxidant rich oil to your skin or add to your bath water. This body oil smells so beautiful, like a bottled warm and sunny spring day. It’s super soothing on a sunburn as well.
Rainbow Road Shea Butter Hand Cream – this tube of deeply moisturizing hand cream smells of coconut and bartlett pear. To me, it smells tropical and cheerful. It’s not sticky or greasy, making it a perfect everyday hand cream.
Pink Moon Shea Butter Hand Cream – if you like gourmand scents similar to Pink Sugar, you will love this. It smells divine, with notes of licorice blossom, powder and spun sugar. The 2.4oz tubes of hand cream are $14.
FarmHouse Fresh’s signature scent is Whoopie Cream, which has a white velvet cream layer cake fragrance. This is literally one of the most deliciously scented products I’ve used – ever. It’s magical! I have the Whoopie Cream Body Wash & Bubble Bath. The whipped and creamy body wash has aloe and vitamin e, along with Green Tea, Chamomile and Arnica Montana Flower to nourish and soothe skin. My skin feels soft and is fantastically scented post shower. This shower cream is gluten free and vegan, and an 8.4oz bottle is $18.
In my quest for incorporating more natural products into my beauty routine, I stumbled on Six Sassy Sistas multi use serum on Instagram. This family run business created a skin serum with high quality ingredients, including: olive oil, coconut oil, grapeseed oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, and organic moroccan argan oil. They come in a spray form, which is really handy for the shower. Once you’ve tried oil for shaving your legs, you won’t ever want to be without. I don’t get razor burn, or the tight feeling I normally do when shaving.
You can choose from a variety of scents, or unscented. My favorites are the Ooey Gooey Caramel, Cotton Candy, and Coconut scents. I love my sweet scents, but there’s really something for everyone.
Sassy Serum Uses

Happy August! And how is the Summer going by so quickly?! Here’s my July Beauty Favorites. I’d love to hear yours!
Vita Liberata Trystal Self Tanning Bronzing Minerals – This loose mineral bronzing powder provides an immediate bronze or contoured look, and develops a tan over 4-8 hours that will last for days. The first few times I used it, it had a metallic/sunless tanner smell that faded within the first hour. I no longer get that scent, so maybe it just needed to settle? I love that the color is darker than typical bronzers. I always use a light hand, and do a quick sweep of bronzer on my forehead, cheekbones and jawline. The kabuki brush that came with it is so soft and the perfect application tool. I don’t use this on my entire face, but I honestly don’t get more than a light self tan once I’ve washed it off. The Trystal Minerals are vegan, cruelty free, gluten, oil, paraben, sulfate, and phthalate free.
Mirabella Beauty CC Creme – I recently picked this up at a spa I got an acne ultrasonic facial at. My foundations were too pale, and I needed something darker. I grabbed this in medium and it’s a perfect shade. This is such an awesome CC creme! My skin has gone from dry to oily this summer and I really didn’t know how to deal. I was so shiny, and my makeup was sliding off my face. Enter Mirabella CC Creme, which has amazing full coverage and lasts all day in heat, humidity and oiliness. It dries really fast, so the best way I’ve found to apply is just a small area at a time, and use my fingers. It also layers well, if you need to go back and cover up any blemishes. I don’t even need to use a setting powder with it.
Charlotte Tilbury Color Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencil – I picked up Champagne Diamonds in my recent Charlotte Tilbury haul from Nordstroms. The first time I used this shadow pencil, I was outside at the lake most of the day, in the sun and it was hot. It did.not.crease. I have never seen such a budge proof eye product. I’m in love, and want them ALL!
Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Eau Fraiche – This is my go-to Sexy Summer scent. I’m picky about summer fragrances, because I don’t like anything too heavy. This is the perfect balance of lightly sweet and upbeat, with a hint of gourmand and flowery notes. Here are a few of the perfume notes: mandarin, bergamot, lemon, freesia, rose, apricot, white musk, patchouli and pistachio.
Tria Hair Removal Laser 4X – I’ve been using my Tria for several months, and to be honest the hardest thing about it is finding the time to use it. I haven’t been consistent about my bikini line, so I’ll have to pick that up again after the summer craziness settles down. I have been doing my armpits every two weeks, and I’m happy to report that I am seeing less and less growth! I’m down to shaving every other day (from once a day), and the amount of hair is definitely less. I’m treating a couple of spots on my upper lip with good luck. The wiry chin hairs are proving to be extremely stubborn, but I’m being persistent with them!
NKD SKN Tinted Tan Liquid – this mist turns my skin into a deep bronze goddess shade. My favorite sunless of the moment. It’s easy to apply, has a great deep tone, dries quickly, doesn’t stink and it lasts for days.
Stemology Cell Reboot Ageless Mask – This mask is loaded with good for your skin ingredients. I love the airless pump jar that it comes in. I questioned the claim that it brightens skin in just one use, but it does! This is a must have if you want to brighten, exfoliate gently, and moisturize skin. My skin has been oily this summer and it’s not too much moisture for me.
Here’s what Stemology says about the Cell Reboot Mask:
- Oat Kernel Extract, clinically shown to have an immediate anti-wrinkle impact on the skin.
- Sweet Almond Extract, clinically shown to lift the appearance of sagging skin.
- Sea Algae Bioferment and Green Tea extract immediately tighten the skin.
- Pomegranate Extract & Sweet Orange Extract provides immediate lifting and tightening benefits.
- DMAE, clinically proven to firm and tighten skin.
- Hyaluronic Acid attracts and binds moisture to the skin leaving it fuller, plumper and more youthful looking.
- Squalane, Carrot seed, Meadowfoam Seed and Argan Oils provide regenerative and restructuring support for smooth skin and optimal cellular function.
What were your favorites in July? I’d love to hear!
