The L’Occitane Almond Velvet Body Serum and Balm take advantage of almond native cells to revitalize and renew skin. The serum’s texture was inspired by facial treatment serums. It absorbs quickly and easily, leaving a silky finish. The Balm, rich in shea butter and sweet almond oil, is more like a whipped body butter texture. The Almond Velvet products contain powerful natural active ingredients, and vitamin C to reveal bright and youthful skin.
Both products have the light floral, powdery scent of blossoming almond trees from the South of France. According to L’Occitane benefits of using the Almond Velvet Body Serum and Balm, are smoother skin with fewer lines. With prolonged use (over 8 weeks), you will seen more even toned skin and sun damage will fade. I haven’t used it for long enough to report on that claim, but I do love this as a luxe post bath moisturizing duo.
My favorite way to use it is to use the Body Serum first, then the Body Balm. It feels rich and luxurious on freshly shaved legs, and all over after a bath or shower. L’Occitane always does a great job with packaging, These jars are glass with copper lids. The balm is 7oz for $60, and the serum is 3.3oz for $52. At that price they are a bit of a splurge, but consider that you’re getting skin care benefits along with the moisturizer. I think this duo would make a great Mother’s Day gift!
Do you have any L’Occitane favorites? Aside from the Almond Velvet line, I also love their Shea Hand Creams and the
Almond Shower Oil. If you’ve never shaved your legs with the shower oil, treat yourself sometime and try it. They always have great deals if you’re signed up for their email list.
