Ole Henriksen Power Peel 3 step treatment

I recently had a sample of Ole Henriksen’s Power Peel from Sephora. The Power Peel is a 3 step
spa grade exfoliation treatment containing Almond Polish, Lemon Strip Flash Peel and Chamomile Comfort.

Ole Henriksen is fast becoming my go-to brand for high quality, gentle and effective skin care.
I’ve never had such fast results in an at home exfoliation as I have with the Power Peel! I’ve tried many at home exfoliation treatments, from prescriptions, to my Clarisonic. I had immediate results with the Power Peel, as far as brightening of my skin, softening and smoothing. That was just with one use! I can’t wait to begin to use this regularly.

The first step of the Power Peel is the Almond Polish. This gentle exfoliant contains almond paste, oat kernel flour, bamboo powder and honey. It smells good enough to eat too!

Next you apply the Lemon Strip Flash peel which contains lactic, glycolic and fruit acids to gently
resurface and exfoliate. It’s a 20% professional grade Alpha Hydroxy peel. It also has algae extract to calm and soothe skin. Licorice extract reduces dark spots and brightens skin. I had no problems with burning or peeling during or after the Lemon Strip Flash peel.

After the peel is rinsed off your skin, apply the chamomile comfort to soothe and calm your skin. It contains chamomile, jojoba seed oil and evening primrose oil.

I applied my Pure Truth youth activating oil immediately following my Power Peel. My skin was unbelievably soft, smooth and brightened!

If you are ingredient obsessed like me, here are the ingredients of the Lemon Strip Peel from Ole Henriksen’s website.Water (Aqua/Eau), Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Carrageenan, Glycerin, Potassium Hydroxide, Xanthan Gum, Vaccinium Myrtillus Fruit Extract, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Acer Saccharum (Sugar Maple) Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Rhizome/Root, Tocopheryl Acetate, Biosaccharide Gum-1, Oleth 20, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol, Limonene, Fragrance (Parfum).

Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC creme

Ole Henriksen’s products are my latest skin care obsession! I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from Ole Henriksen. Today I want to share with you the amazing Perfect Truth CC Creme, which is a skin care/makeup multi tasker!

Benefits and Claims

protects skin with spf 30

brightens and corrects dark spots over time with vitamin C

ceramides and peptides nourish and plump skin and minimize lines

illuminates skin with light reflecting pigments

Ferulic Acid helps to defend against environmental damage

Green Tea extract calms skin and reduces redness

Sodium Hyaluronate draws moisture into skin

I can’t recommend Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth CC creme enough! It has great coverage, I do still need a concealer to cover my under eye circles and acne scars as always! It has a gorgeous finish, doesn’t look greasy like some BB/CC creams tend to. It lasts all day on my skin. In warmer weather, you may need to set with a powder for longevity. I apply this with my fingers and blend, but I know some bloggers prefer to use a makeup brush. Whatever works best for you!

I can’t wait to try the Ole Henriksen Perfect Truth eye cream! I’m fairly sure I’ll love it as much as I’ve loved everything else Ole Henriksen! ;)

July Favorites – Skin Care!

I’ve been slightly obsessed with finding a new skin care routine for the past month. I’ve found some really great products, so this month’s favorites will be all skin care! My favorites this month far and away are from Ole Henriksen. I’d love to hear what’s on your favorites list this month!

makeup remover and cleansers

I’ve found my holy grail makeup remover in Clinique’s Take the Day off Cleansing Balm! It removes spf, long wearing foundation and stubborn eye makeup easily. For cleansing after my makeup removal, I have been using Ageless Derma Glycolic Anti Aging cleanser, Own rejuvenating cleanser and REN micro polish cleanser.

My favorite toners are Thayer’s alcohol free rose petal witch hazel and Clarins Chamomile toning lotion.

I am obsessed with REN glycol lactic radiance renewal mask and Ole Henriksen’s enlighten me skin tone corrector! Both have given me a noticeably brighter complexion.

Serums are my favorite part! I’ve found each of these to be soothing and beneficial to my skin. I use NOW Rose Hip
Seed oil (see my post on the benefits of Rose hip HERE), Own Renewing firming silk concentrate, and the best serum I’ve ever used Ole Henriksen’s pure truth activating oil.

I’ve been using Own refining moisture night cream for months and love its gentle formula. Ole Henriksen’s sheer transformation moisturizer is a new obsession. I’ve been using it during the day under my makeup. It sinks in immediately and creates a beautiful semi matte canvas for my foundation.

What are your favorites this month? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
