Perlier Italian Sorbet Lemon Crackling Body Water Review

Perlier gets my vote for the most unusual skin care product, hands down!!
I recently tried the Perlier Lemon Crackling Body Water through iFabbo. This little gem is perfect for a hot summer day by the pool or at the beach. Though I don’t get much moisture from it (I’m like an alligator, for reals…) I get a blast of cool and refreshing lemony scented skin!

Perlier calls this a “refreshing crackling ice body water.” It comes in a pressurized can, and bubbles and cools as soon as it hits your skin. When you rub it in, it sounds like pop rocks candy and gives the skin an icy sensation. I had to try this out on my kids and hubby. They all thought it was *SO* fun!! In fact, I think I am going to hide the can so I can have some left for myself!!

8 piece Perlier try me travel set from HSN

8 piece Perlier try me travel set from HSN

I was thrilled to be able to review this Perlier try me set through iFabbo! Luxurious scents, moisturizing and good for your skin ingredients, yes please!

What comes in the set?

Perlier 8 piece try me travel set includes 4 50ml shower creams and 4 30ml body balms.

Certified Italian Organic Honey Shower cream and nurturing body balm – Honey has long been known to be a natural and gentle skin treat. The shower cream smells delightful, like clover honey and sunshine! The body balm is lightweight and not heavy at all. It has a very light scent, appropriate for women, men or children.

Organic Shea Butter & Citrus shower cream and intensive nurturing body balm – Shea butter is extremely moisturizing and long lasting. This was my favorite formula of the four I tried. I loved how nourishing the shower cream and body balm were. The body balm seemed, in my opinion, to be the most moisturizing of the bunch. The scent is a soft and subtle combination of orange, lemon and lime.

Shea Butter & Citrus

White Almond Absolute Comfort shower cream and body cream – This line includes almond milk and white almond oil, known to be highly moisturizing and emollient. White Almond is perfect for dry and/or sensitive skin. I thought it would smell more like marzipan, but I found the scent to be very light and faded quickly.

Olivarium nourishing bath and shower cream and body cream – contains 100% organic olive oil, nature’s super antioxidant. The Olive Oil duo left my skin moisturized long after my shower. The shower cream was also wonderful to shave my legs with! The scent was a softly spicy herbal spa scent. It was relaxing and soothing in my opinion. Of the four formulas, this would be the one I would say is most masculine.

May Favorites – Beautisol, Ageless Derma, Perlier & Sugar Shock

Here’s a round up of some of my beauty favorites for May. I’d love to hear what you are loving this summer! Leave me a comment and your blog link below!

May faves

Funny story too….I thought I grabbed my bottle of Beautisol sunless tanner mousse for this picture. I *just* noticed that this is the Beautisol Tea Tan wash off bronzer. I bet I used that instead of the sunless tanner the other night too. Oops….oh well, I love them both!!

On to the rest of my May favorites!

Perlier Honey shower cream – I am in love with all my Perlier products from the travel set. This is such a gorgeous scent. It smells just like fresh clover honey and sunshine! The full review will be up soon!

Pssssssst! dry shampoo – I’ve tried a lot of dry shampoos, and disliked them all. This is the only one I like! I have been trying not to wash my hair too often, as it’s SO dry and falling out.

Bed Head by Tigi Sugar Shock – This is a root boosting product, much different from other root boosters. I don’t get a weighed down, crunchy, filmy mess at my roots with this. I use it on freshly washed hair and massage it into my scalp well. After a little blast from the blow dryer, I have volume! It smells awesome too, like Pink Sugar, without the pink.

Donna Karan Cashmere Mist deodorant – Yes, it’s weird to have a deodorant on my monthly favorites. BUT, it’s summer! I have super sensitive pits and I don’t want to stink. I don’t know what it is about this, but the formula just works for me! It’s really gentle and smells great.

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash Mascara – I haven’t found a mascara I’ve like this much in a looooong time! I guess I am super picky about my mascara, but there is a lot to think about! I don’t like mascaras that irritate my eyes, are too wet, flake or smudge…You know! I guess I haven’t found my HG mascara yet. I love wiggly flexible brush with spiny bristles. It works really well to get into tiny areas. The formula is great too. I like my lashes a bit more volumized than this mascara provides, but that is easily fixed by layering mascaras.

Ageless Derma Retinol and Vitamin K eye cream – I have only been using this for several weeks but I love it already! My under eyes are dry and tend to look crepey if I don’t moisturize often enough, and with a good quality moisturizer. This eye cream has retinol, Vitamins K (said to help reduce dark under eye circles), vitamin E, green tea extracts, peptides and Coenzyme Q10. I love skin care products that are packed with ingredients like these! I haven’t found this cream (I use it 3 nights a week) to be drying at all. I’m really happy to have found an eye cream that will treat my fine lines and black circles AND moisturize at the same time! I will keep you posted on my long term results.

I’d love to hear your May favorites, so feel free to leave a comment below! Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
