I’ve been testing out a few new palettes from Beauty Junkees, that include eye shadow singles, blush, bronzer, and highlight shades.
The Beauty Junkees eyeshadow singles are $6 a pop, and if you’re looking for a comparison from another brand I’d say they are on par quality and pigment wise with MAC. Some of my most used shades are: Iced Lace, Oh Deer, Love Affair, Sugared Shortbread, Rose Beige, Raspberry Glaze, Tuscan Rose, and Crushed Velvet. Can you tell I’m crushing on a rosey mauve eye look these days?!
I’ve found the highlight and blush duos are great for my oily skin. The formula works really well, and fades less than blush typically does on my skin. My go to color for almost any look is Twilight Dream. It’s a gorgeous mostly matte dusty pink, with a hint of sparkle that’s almost undetectable on my cheeks. It’s pictured above on the bottom row, second from the right.
If you’re looking for a really sturdy alternative for a Z Palette, try the empty makeup palette from Beauty Junkees. It’s hefty and will protect all of your precious shadow and blush singles. It comes with a double ended brush, with a flat shader and fluffy blender. It’s a combo of brushes from the eight piece Eye Makeup Brush Kit, which I’ve had for a few years and love.
I’m thrilled with my custom palettes, and am excited to keep creating endless looks with all of these gorgeous shades! Check out some of other must haves from Beauty Junkees: Contour and Highlight Kit, and Pro Eye Makeup Brush Set. Find Beauty Junkees brushes and cosmetics on Amazon.
