BECCA’s new Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse is not a self tanner, but more than just a standard bronzer. BECCA knows how to beautifully enhance skin, and this long wearing glow enhancer does not disappoint. The Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse can be applied all over the body, including the face. The transfer proof mousse imparts a lovely radiant glow, that also happens to be water-resistant. The bronze hue evens out skin tones and minimizes skin imperfections.
I find this product works best on freshly cleansed and exfoliated skin that’s had a light lotion applied. I have dry skin and it clung to my dry areas if I didn’t exfoliate and moisturize beforehand. It dries quickly, leaving a natural luminous bronze glow. It truly does last all day, without transferring. It washes off easily in the shower with soap or shower gel.
One thing I wasn’t expecting was the amazing scent! It was floral fruity at first, drying down to a sweet ambery floral. I LOVE the scent, and couldn’t keep my nose off my arm. I LOVE this product, and would use it daily if I could buy a gallon of it! It makes my skin look pretty, and that just makes me feel good.
You can find Luminous Body Perfecting Mousse at Sephora, and a 3.4fl oz tube is $34. BECCA’s style director, Kerry Cole, recommends applying this with The One Perfecting Brush.
Also new from BECCA this summer is the Beach Tint Lip Shimmering Souffle. This moisturizing gloss combines the long wearing color of BECCA’s Beach Tints, with the radiance of the Shimmering Skin Perfector. The hydrating and glossy lip gloss comes in a click pen with a slanted silicone tip. It’s available in 6 shades: Papaya/Topaz, Fig/Topaz, Watermelon/Opal, Guava/Opal, Lychee/Topaz and Raspberry/Opal.
I have the raspberry/opal, and love the glossy berry tint. It’s got a fruity scent, moisturizing texture, and it’s not sticky. It has a normal wear time of a gloss for me, about two hours or so. The gloss pens are .08oz for $24, which seems a bit steep for me. I’d love more shades, but I don’t feel like I get enough product to justify the price tag. (For comparison, NARS glosses are the same price for .18oz of product). I’m also not crazy about the click up packaging, but that’s just a personal preference. I want to be able to see how much gloss I have left. The silver on the outside has already begun chipping away, which takes away from the tube even more. Aside from the packaging and size draw backs, I really do like the gloss.
