Besame Cosmetics Vanilla Brightening Powder & Souffle Foundation

Argentine designer, cosmetic historian, and artist, Gabriela Hernandez, designed luxury cosmetics brand, Besame Cosmetics as her interpretation of makeup shades and designs from the 1930’s and 40’s. Besame modeled their line after the shades and textures of cosmetics from eras past. Besame Cosmetics is perhaps most well known for their cult classic red lipticks. I have two additional products to share with you today, which I am sure will become makeup lovers must haves as well!

The Sephora exclusive Besame Cosmetics Vanilla Brightening Powder is suitable for all skin types. This softly tinted yellow powder is perfect for brightening under eyes, or all over the face for a velvety finish. It contains vitamin C, squalane and lecithin to soothe and hydrate. It has a beautifully soft vanilla scent.
The True Beige Souffle Foundation was too dark for my fair skin in winter, but should work once I am using self tanner. The full coverage creamy foundation is enriched with a collagen building ingredient to encourage skin firmness and elasticity. The souffle provides beautiful coverage that feels lightweight, and lasts all day.

Besame Cosmetics does not test on animals, and uses natural and responsible ingredients in their products. Find Besame on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest.

I’ve been really curious about that face powder! Do you find the finish stays relatively matte throughout the day?

  • http://glamorable.com/ Anastasia

I love their lipsticks but never tried any complexion products. That souffle foundation sounds like it’d be fun to use!

I like that there are skincare ingredients in the makeup. Pushing mid-30’s has me stressed lol

I am so in love with Besame’s packaging. I’m dying to try something, anything, from that line!

I have the violet powder. I was curious about their vanilla!

    • Amber

I was curious about the Violet! How do you like it?

Anything that will brighten my undereyes! I need this powder!

The souffle foundation sounds interesting. Do their products come in deeper shades?

    • Amber

Kim, the souffle foundation only comes in 5 shades. The shade I have is the lightest and I would say it’s probably about an N20 or so in MAC shade speak! It’s a little hard to tell from the swatches online because they look lighter then the actual product. Besame is great to work with, and I’m sure they can probably help you if you want to try! :)

Is the Vanilla Brightening powder similar to Ben Nye’s banana powder? I love the vintage packaging in this line. So chic.

    • Amber

Nidia, can you believe it….I’ve never tried the Ben Nye! Crazy I know…Sorry I can’t compare! I will tell you this though, from reviews I’ve seen on the Banana powder, it’s much more yellow than this. the Besame really seems like it’s so lightly tinted, almost a translucent.

I haven’t tried anything but their lipsticks which I love!

  • marciaf

I loved the finish of the foundation when I had it a few years ago. The fragrance wasn’t easy for me though. I now have a cream blush in that same gorgeous packaging and that isn’t fragranced so I’m very happy.

    • Amber

Glad the blush is working out better for you Marcia! :)

  • FabZilla_Kath

This is on my list of must-try!

  • Justina
