Norell New York has a new fragrance that I’m finding to be just perfect for a new Fall scent! Norell Elixir is described as a floriental woody scent. Top notes are mandarin, peruvian pink pepper, and plum. Middle notes are Indian tuberose, jasmine absolute, and pimento berry. Base notes are Italian sandalwood, crystalized patchouli, and benzoin resinoid.
This fragrance feels seductive and alluring, perfect for a date night scent. It’s a creamy fruity resinous scent. It’s not overly sweet, but rather more spicy. If you like Chanel Chance, I would definitely give this a try. I can’t pick out the tuberose, which is always a risky note for me. Thankfully, it just adds a bit of creaminess to the overall feel. I also can’t detect patchouli, but I just get a nice rounded resiny finish that lasts on my skin for hours.
I have previously mentioned the original Norell New York fragrance in my Favorite Summer Perfumes post. I find the original Norell to be sophisticated and luxurious, while Elixir is more seductive and playful. I love them both!
You can find Norell Elixir at Bergdorf Goodman for $150 per 3.4oz spray, or if you want to test it out a sample, try Scentbird.
