FOTD pics

Here’s a few FOTD pics from the past week or so. My eyes look a little washed out, but I promise it looked nicer in person!
Most pics were using my everyday favorites from my makeup bag.
I usually use Missha M perfect cover BB cream #21 as a primer, with Revlon Colorstay in buff for foundation.
MAC Prolongwear concealer is my current fave for covering acne scarring. I use a bit of MAC MSF in my t zone. For bronzer and contour I almost always use Benefit Hoola. It’s my go to shade, as it looks good on my fair skin in any season. For blush I have been loving a peach combo (for some reason I can’t wear many peach toned blushes) with NYC cheek glow blush in Sutton Place Peach topped with MAC mineralize blush in Amber Glow.

To highlight I use Benefit high beam on my cheekbones, down the center of my nose, cupid’s bow and a touch above my brow. I also have been liking Hard Candy tiki baked bronzer. It’s very pretty, but way too light for a bronzer. I’ve heard its a dupe for LORAC’s spotlight.

Under my eyes I have been using NYX HD concealer in Light after I tap on a little bit of pixi beauty peach correcting concealer. I always set it with a light dusting of powder to prevent creasing.

My favorite eye primer is Painterly paint pot from MAC. My eyelids tend to be dry and this is very emollient, and it never creases my shadows. I almost always use some combination of eyeshadows from my Urban Decay Naked 1 and 2 palettes. I love Naked, Buck or Tease in my crease. I think in one of the pics I used purple tones from the palettes. Foxy is a great blending out color for my skin tone. I don’t really care for the velvet texture, but it works!

I’m obsessed with Rimmel’s scandaleyes kohl liners. I wear the dark brown on my upper lash line (and to tightline) almost everyday. The Nude is lovely on the waterline for brightening your eyes. I have contacts, and fairly sensitive eyes and never have irritation with these liners.

For my brows I have been using the ELF brow duo in medium. It’s not my HG shade (which I have yet to find) but it’s good. I love the wax side, because I have these obnoxious browlicks (yeah, cowlick in my brows) and this tames them a bit.

My lashes are a little weird right now. I’m loosing so much hair (on my head and lashes) from my Lyme Disease, so I have some bald spots. (Ummmm seriously, why cant I loose the obnoxious random chin hairs?!) I like Cover Girl’s Clump crusher mascara, and I sometimes layer it with L’Oreal telescopic water proof. That holds a great curl like nothing I’ve tried (I have stick straight lashes) but it is a PAIN IN THE ASS to get off.

Lips are easy! I almost always grab one of my NYX butter glosses. They are the best lip product EVER! Seriously, if you haven’t tried them, you need to! I like them more than any other gloss/butter/lipstick/stain out there.

What are your go-to make up choices for everyday? I’d love to hear some favorite products, and see pics!

In the eye pic I had used UD YDK with MAC Fix+ on my lid, tease in the crease, Toated and hustle in the outer v. I have MAC Prunella eye kohl on.

EOTD UD Vice - I love purple!!

Here’s a close up EOTD from my previous FOTD post.
Please pay no attention to my Browlick…Does anyone else have
a cowlick in their brows?? I swear, my right eyebrow tail will not
behave!!

What’s on my eyes? My HG eye primer is MAC Paint Pot in Painterly. I used Provocateur with MAC Fix+ on my lid, Rapture in my crease and Vice on my outer v. I used Tease from the Naked 2 palette to blend just above my crease and Anonymous on my brow bone. I used MAC Prunella to line my eyes, and layered Mally Voluminous mascara over Cover Girl clump crusher.

I have L’Oreal Caresse Wet Shine Stain in “Lilac Ever After” on my lips, topped with a Buxom gloss. I’m not sure about the Caresse Stains….I don’t like this color on me. It was pretty flat without the gloss. I generally love anything mauve for my lips, but this pulled a bit reddish on me. It only stayed on about 2 hours, but that is probably due to the gloss on top, maybe??

FOTD Urban Decay Vice Pallette & L’Oreal Caresse Stain

Here’s a recent FOTD. I was testing out L’Oreal’s Colour Caresse shine stain in Lilac Ever After and playing with Urban Decay’s Vice palette.

Foundation was a mix if Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation in shade 2.0 and a dab of Revlon Color Stay in Buff. I used Benefit Hoola bronzer and Tarina Tarantino blush in Neopolitan Lane.

FOTD Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation

I’m absolutely amazed with this foundation!! I’m a bit of a foundation junkie….always searching for my HG!

I keep coming back to Revlon Colorstay, Estée Lauder Double Wear and DL Light, but I always love to try others!

I’ve tested the UD Naked foundation on hot humid days, pool and sun days, and days inside when I don’t feel well. It performs amazingly in all of these conditions!!

The color selection was pretty good.
I’m currently about N20, lighter in the winter. I have shade 3.5. It looks too dark for me from the bottle, but it’s a perfect match!

I typically have to mix foundations to get a good color match. My skin is fair but I have some dark acne scars on my cheeks, and I am prone to redness.

I use Revlon Photoready primer, then apply this with either my EcoTools bamboo bronzer brush that I have sprayed with a few spritzes of water or my Sephora Platinum Airbrush #55. I have also tried using my damp beauty blender dupe from ULTA. This worked well, but I prefer the softer look I get with a brush.

I only need 1-1.5 pumps of this very thin consistency foundation. It doesn’t dry as quickly as my other long wearing foundations, which is helpful! It seems to layer very well if I need a little extra coverage.

I lightly powder my face with a small amount of Laura Mercier translucent powder and I am set!

The picture below is not retouched in any way. I do not have concealer on
My scarring or red areas.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on Naked foundation if you’ve tried it!
