wet n wild fall eyeshadow palettes

wet n wild fall eyeshadow palettesWet n Wild has a great fall line up this year! I usually don’t have good luck finding the seasonal LE items from them, so I was excited to find the 5 pan palettes at Walgreens recently! I picked up Melrose at Night, Smoke and Melrose, and Angels in Aubergine. I didn’t swatch the Aubergine because it’s for a friend. I have a feeling she’ll swatch it and you’ll be able to see it on her blog here - Crazy Beautiful Makeup.

Smoke and Melrose is the warmer and more pigmented palette of the two I’ve swatched. As with previous palettes, wet n wild has a shade placement guide imprinted on the eyeshadows. I’m not sure who can pull off the suggested placement (I’d look 50 shades of CRAY), but it’s a nice thought!

Melrose at Night leans more cool/neutral toned. The brown reminds me a little bit of Urban Decay’s Smog, but not so warm. Even though this palette wasn’t quite as pigmented as the other, it was my favorite of the two. I found both palettes to last all day when I used a shadow primer. I tested with MAC Painterly, and Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

There is one other palette in this collection that I didn’t grab, High Wasted Jeans. This has mostly blue and gray tones. I have to track down the matte lipsticks and nail polish from the fall line up. You can find some great swatches on Nouveau Cheap. How gorgeous are they?! Is there anything you’ll be grabbing from this line up?

My All Day Look with Makeup from Neutrogena and Target

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #AllDayLook #CollectiveBias

Target is one of my favorite stores to shop for reasonably priced beauty products. I usually can find a coupon using the Cartwheel App on my phone, like I did for this Neutrogena haul!

Most summer days, I go for a fresh look that won’t melt in the summer sun, yet it’s quick and easy to do. No one has time for makeup melt down and constant touch ups!  I start with Neutrogena’s Oil-Free Moisture with sunscreen SPF 15, then apply Nourishing Long Wear foundation with tone correcting complex. I’m all about makeup with skin care benefits!

Next I apply a dusting of Neutrogena’s Shine Control Powder. Even if you have dry skin, this is a must on the hot and humid days of summer. I apply Nourishing eyeliner to my upper lash line under the root of my lashes. This is tightlining, and if you haven’t tried it, this little trick will change your eye look! It gives the look of lush and full lashes, even before you apply mascara. I love the little silicone smudger on one end of the eyeliner. So handy!

Next up I use a swipe of the Moisture Smooth color stick on my lips, giving them a pop of color and moisture. My last step is adding a dab of Triple Repair Fortifying conditioner to my hair and putting it up in a ponytail. This keeps all those little frizzy pieces smooth and in place.  I have an All Day Look, and I’m ready to roll with whatever the day brings!

Drugstore Beauty - Disney Villains, ELF kits, Wet’n’Wild Halloween

I stumbled across some fun new items at Walgreens the other day and wanted to share pics!

ELF 12 piece Cruella nail polish set is such a bargain for a nail lover! I can’t speak for the quality or durability of the ELF polishes, as I haven’t tried them, but I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this for a holiday gift for a nail obsessed friend, as most everything ELF does is great!

Sinful polishes are great. Super affordable and they have pretty much any color you could ever want! I love that they are always coming out with new collections.

I also think these Disney Villain ELF makeup sets would make an amazing gift! They are available in four different villain/color combinations. I loved the Ursula set, which had purple eyeshadows.
Each kit contains a six pan eyeshadow palette, mascara, liquid and pencil eyeliners in black,
an essential eyeshadow brush (the best $1 shadow brush EVER!), eyelid primer and lip color.

The ELF beauty must have kits are a super way to start a makeup collection, or experiment with some different shades without breaking the bank.

Wet’n’Wild always has fun collections for Halloween. It’s a mix of things in their regular line up, and special edition items.

Have you seen any new drugstore beauty items lately? There are always so many fun and inexpensive items in the months leading up to the holidays! What’s on your wishlist?
