Self tanners are one beauty product I will not be without, year round. I just feel better about the way I look with a little glow. Not to mention, my face is lighter than my neck which is a different color than my chest. You know how it goes. I just like to even my skin color and tone out a bit with self tanner and bronzer!
In my opinion, you truly get what you pay for with self tanner. I know some people have great results with Jergens or other affordable tanners. I do not. I didn’t think anything could lure me away from my beloved Beautisol, but the beauty community is abuzz with raves for Vita Liberata tinted self tan mousse. It was my duty to test it out, I tell you!
I tested the Vita Liberata tinted self tan mousse in sheer and intense. Sheer gave my fair skin a nice very natural tint. If you want a hint of color, and have light skin, give this baby a go. I prefer something a bit darker. Intense hit the mark for me! It’s an instant bronzer, that doesn’t transfer onto clothes (or sheets if you use it before bed). I loved that I was able to put it on and get dressed and go about my day like normal. There is NO tanner smell or baked skin smell. WHATSOEVER. A lovely deep, golden glow develops within 4-8 hours depending on the ph of your skin. It’s really an effortless formula that will not give you streaks, and even fades evenly!
I have a few tips for you since this formula may be different from other self tanners that you’ve used.
- exfoliate before but do NOT moisturize (even elbows, knees and ankles!)
- use 1 pump of mousse and blend quickly because it dries super fast
- replace the cap and shake the bottle during use
- do not moisturize within 24 hours as it will create a barrier and affect the development process. It has hyaluronic acid to draw moisture into your skin, so you will not feel like an alligator, promise!
Other notable information: Vita Liberata contains organic botanicals, is cruelty free, gluten free and oil free. Moisture lock hydration keeps your skin hydrated and prolongs the life of your tan. Vita Liberata was nominated for QVC’s best in beauty awards.
