I’ve only tested this mascara twice, so I don’t feel like I can give it a full review, but I can give you my initial thoughts! One of my favorite mascaras is Cover Girl’s Clump Crusher, and I’ve also been loving Cover Girl’s Flamed Up mascara for holding a curl in my super straight and stubborn lashes.

Side 1 is basically a typical Lash Blash mascara wand. This side gave me a bit of length.

Side two has fluffier bristles, to add some volume.
I experienced a little clumping, but nothing that couldn’t be combed out. All in all this mascara was just OK. I don’t think I’d purchase it again at the full price of $12, unless I had CVS Extra Bucks or coupons. The reason I say I wouldn’t purchase again, is primarily because I feel like the combination of formulas weighed my lashes down. There was no way they were able to hold a curl. On the up side, there was no flaking, smudging or irritation with this mascara duo. I think it’s worth a try if you like to layer mascaras like I do, to get volume and length.

  1. Thanks for letting me know I can pass on this. It’s funny that I was initially disappointed by CG Clump Crusher because it doesn’t give me much volume, and I thought when would I not want a lot of volume. Well, it turns out that it has become my favorite everyday mascara because it doesn’t clump, I can apply it in a flash, and I don’t need huge lashes to run to the supermarket lol!
