Have you seen the Honey Maid “This Is Wholesome” ads on tv or YouTube??
They immediately caught my attention, in a good way. In the ads, they show families of all sorts doing normal things. You don’t always see large companies marketing their products to a realistic consumer. The Honey Maid ads portray families of all kinds, gay, biracial, tattooed and pierced, single parents, you know, REAL people. The world is full of unique individuals, and I applaud Honey Maid for accepting what’s “normal” and portraying what true families are made up of. People, of all kinds, that love each other.
My family is made up of myself and my husband and our five kids. We have a crazy busy household that came together when my husband Rick and I were married nearly 3 years ago. I brought my three children, and he brought his two. Sure we have challenges and issues in our blended household, just like any other family. But at the center of it all, we have LOVE. kids, Step-kids, mom, dad, step-mom, step-dad…it doesn’t matter. We love each other.
I appreciate Honey Maid for giving Wholesome Families a realistic face in this new campaign! In our house, some of our favorite Honey Maid favorites are the Graham crackers, Teddy Grahams and Grahamfuls. Honey Maid products are made with whole grains and are high fructose corn syrup free. We go through boxes and boxes of the traditional Honey Maid Grahams in the summer, when we have bonfires at the lakehouse. I bet you can guess our favorite Honey Maid Wholesome Family recipe? S’mores, of course! Crispy grahams, golden melty marshmallows and chocolate. YUM!! It’s a tradition, and a family favorite.
Did you know that September 8th is National Stepfamily Day?? Can you guess how we’ll be celebrating? With our favorite Honey Maid S’mores of course!
