Finger Paints Crystal Springs

The Finger Paints Pastel Rain collection contains 3 creme polishes with coordinating glitter toppers. It’s a pretty collection, but I didn’t think anything was unique enough to warrant a purchase, other than Crystal Springs. (See, I am trying to do less polish hoarding!) I polished my nails with one coat of Wet n Wild Megalast polish in I Need A Refresh-mint, followed with two coats of Finger Paints Crystal Springs. I would describe the glitter as blue and green with silver shards. It’s unlike anything in my collection, and I think it would look great layered over a variety of colors, green, yellow, dark blue…you get the point!

The only thing I didn’t care for was some of the shards didn’t lay flat even with topcoat and felt a little sharp/rough. Have you tried anything from the Finger Paints Pastel Rain collection?

Formula X Sephora Wunderkind & Finger Paints Abstract Attraction

Happy Weekend beauties! I’ve had a busy week, with my Mom visiting from Alaska. We had lots of girl time, and shopping fun! I did Mom’s makeup a couple of days while she was here, and she looked gorgeous! I wish I’d snuck a pic or two, but since she reads my blog I think she would have noticed!

I’m not quite sure why the pictures came out a little fuzzy. I’m thinking it was my shakiness, and not the polish that photographs this way. Though, anytime I’ve tried to capture the Finger Paints Kaleidoscope polish, they are a little off.

For today’s NOTD, I have ONE (yes you read that right!) coat of Formula X for Sephora in Wunderkind topped with two coats of the Finger Paints flakie topper, Abstract Attraction. Wunderkind is a deep navy with shimmer. Abstract Attraction has blue and violet flakes. Wunderkind is smooth and opaque in one coat, which shocked me! The Finger Paints Kaleidoscope collection is not nearly as vibrant as their last flakie release. I was just not overwhelmed to be honest. I like my nails to be super glittery and over the top shimmery. Ha!

Finger Paints Peacock Portrait

Christmas lights!! That’s what this nail polish makes me think of. I love having the tree lit up when it’s dark out. I started with Gelish mini “I’m No Stranger to Love,” which is a blackened teal. I applied two coats of Finger Paints “Peacock Portrait” over the Gelish.
I love Finger Paints polishes, great formula and color selection. I have blurred one picture, because it really enhances the Christmas Tree effect!

NOTD Finger Paints Laugh My Art Off & Sally Hansen Royal Icing

It’s the first time in ages that I haven’t used gel polish! I really was feeling like a blue mani so I picked these up recently. I love the shimmer packed “Laugh My Art Off!”

Another NOTD post

The posting has been less frequent, as Lyme is kicking my butt the past week. But, I can post pics of a few NOTD pics from last week!
The first is Finger Paints new gel polish in Pink Glaze (so light and very natural looking, would be great for a traditional French manicure) with Gelish Tumberline Violet (2 coats) on top. The Gelish Tumberline took me a few fingers to get the hang of. The larger glitter must sink to the bottom, and I was trying to fish more out. I love glitter and I like my nails to have a LOT of glitter, not just a few pieces.

The second look is actually polished over the first mani. I can’t wear “regular” nail polish anymore. My nails are too weak and brittle. I prefer to have my gel polish on all the time! The polish is Pure Ice “Fiesty.” I ADORE the pinky purple color, but the formula was hideous! I’m sure you can see the streaks. It wasn’t just streaky, but it had an off texture too. Maybe I should exchange it at Wal Mart. I’m going to try some polish thinner first, to see if that helps. If you have any recommendations for similar colors to this in gel polish formula, please let me know!!
