The last week of March I began testing the Tria Beauty Age-Defying Eye Wrinkle Correcting Laser to combat those pesky little lines around my eyes. You know the ones I mean - they are the bane of your existence if you have serious under eye darkness that you need to combat with a color corrector and concealer. I know I’m not the only one!
This little device quickly became an easy addition into my nightly skin care routine. The laser works in only one minute per eye every night. Once I hit the 2 week mark, I started using it every other night due to some skin sensitivity the next day. That seemed to resolve the issue.
How I used the Tria Age-Defying Eye laser: Remove makeup and cleanse face. I apply serums, treatments and lotions after using the laser because you need to use the laser on clean, dry skin. Turn the laser on and place under your eye on the orbital socket bone and make small gentle circles, being sure not to apply too much pressure. You want to gently glide over your skin, not drag it. I start at the inner corner of my eye, near my nose and work my way to the outside of my eye where those pesky crow’s feet start. The Tria has a timer and you’ll feel a few vibrations before it shuts down after the first minute. Repeat the process on the other eye, and immediately apply the Tria Nourishing Eye Renewal Cream.
Most commonly asked questions on social media during my treatment:
Does it hurt? The first two times I used it were mildly uncomfortable. It feels like a tiny little rubber band snapping your skin quickly and repeatedly. After the first two uses, I was fine with it and didn’t have any pain or discomfort.
Is it easy? Yes! The hardest part is remembering to do it every night, or every other in my case. I put it with my evening skin care so I couldn’t forget. It’s super quick, and easy to add two minutes into my nightly routine for an anti aging treatment that works.
What are the side effects? The skin will get a bit red immediately following treatment with the Tria. The first two nights my eye area stung and was uncomfortable, but the redness was gone the following day. My skin became drier in the first week of use, then weeks 2-6 were extreme dryness and an almost cracked look. Layering a facial oil over my eye cream helped.
Do I need the Tria Nourishing Eye Renewal Cream? YES! That cooling metal tip is everything. The eye cream is fantastic too, but trust me, you will be grateful for the soothing applicator after the first few uses.
Is it safe? The Fractional Laser utilized in the Tria device is FDA cleared for safe at home use.
How much does it cost? The Tria Age-Defying Eye Wrinkle Correcting Laser deluxe kit (includes the eye cream) retails for $267, but you can use my coupon code (daydreamingbeauty) for 15% off plus free shipping. This deal ends 5/31, so take advantage!
Did it work? You can see my eyes are noticeably less lined, and the difference in smoothness is huge. I’m not sure if it has anything to do with the treatment, but my eyes are less puffy as well. Tria makes no claim about this, so I’ll take it as a positive side effect!
