Given my obsession with fragrances, I am not sure why it took me so long to test out Scentbird. Now that I have, I’m hooked! If you aren’t familiar with Scentbird, here are the details. It’s a monthly fragrance subscription for $14.95. You have over 450 luxury fragrances for women and men to choose from. There are even a growing number of unique indie fragrance brands available, which makes me happy! Once you’ve chosen the scent you’d like to try, Scentbird will send you a sleek atomizer and your 30 day supply of fragrance, which is 8ml. The next month you can choose a different fragrance, and they will send you a refill for your atomizer. It’s easy to swap out the fragrance vials, if you haven’t finished your scent.
Choosing a fragrance can be overwhelming, so Scentbird has a smart program that can help match you to scents you might like. I like to do this periodically, just to see what fragrances I may be overlooking.
If you are new to fragrance, but have a signature scent you can add that in the database, and Scentbird will make recommendations based on your taste. Below you can see I’ve plugged in three of my favorite mainstream perfumes.
The first fragrance I ended up choosing was Petale Noir from Agent Provocateur. This is a brand I’ve been wanting to try for a while, and it’s fragrance notes of leather, rose, magnolia, and lily of the valley sucked me in. Those are some of my favorites, combined in a unique perfume. While this is a beautiful scent, I haven’t worn it much at all this summer. It’s going to be more of a fall and winter fragrance, as it’s got more of a cool weather and cozy feel.
I am all set for at least the next few months, as I have my perfume queue loaded with other perfumes I can’t wait to try. So many scents, so little time! What fragrances are you looking forward to as the weather cools?
