I know many of you also struggle with getting your hair to be voluminous, like I do. I’m going to share two of my favorite ways to easily add volume! I started using a new line from Zotos earlier this fall, to try to repair some of the hair color damage I’d created over the summer. There’s a whole line of 180PRO products, but what I’ve been having great results with is the Zotos Professional 180PRO Intense Reconstruct Discovery Kit.
The kit contains 3 oz shampoo and conditioner, and 1.7 oz Miracle Repair Damage Eliminator Treatment for $7 with your Sally Beauty card. The shampoo is a gentle color safe cleanser, the conditioner is lightweight in texture with heavy duty moisture and finally a leave in treatment that is a serum-leave in conditioner hybrid. It will smooth your hair and give you some heat protection.
One my hair is cleansed, conditioned and fully dry I heat up my Voloom Hair Volumizing Iron. You are going to be blown away by how quickly you can add volume to even the flattest, thick hair. This unique hair tool has ridges that easily add lasting volume by creating crimps in the hair. It’s really easy to use. All you need to do, is section off your hair so you are only using the voloom on the under layers. I usually only do one or two crimps for my short hair. If you have longer hair, you may want to use the iron until you are at ear level. Once you have given the under layers some oomph, place the smooth upper layer of hair back over the treated area.
Once you have achieved the desired volume, smooth your hair out (I brush through it) and add a bit of hairspray if you’d like. I’ve been loving the Zotos Professional 180PRO Flawless Finisher Firm Hold Hairspray. Unlike teasing or using hot rollers, the Voloom volume lasts until you wash your hair. I am SO glad to have this in my hair arsenal!
