By definition, respect is having consideration or regard for someone or something. This is something that I personally think everyone should learn growing up. Treating others as you’d like to be treated is a good rule to follow. Everyone in the blogging world has the right to share their voice, their point of view. It may differ from your opinion, but EVERYONE has something to offer. Be mature, and be respectful of your fellow bloggers.
It’s ok to share a great new tip or trick that you learned for photo editing, or an article that really helped your blogging. We are not all in direct competition of each other. I know I am incredibly grateful to all of the blogging friends that have helped me along the way. Sharing blog posts and other social media posts that you like is a great way to be helpful and supportive of other bloggers that you respect.
Be a nice person. It’s not you against other bloggers. Show compassion and understanding.
Do not portray yourself as better than your fellow bloggers. Modesty is a good thing! Own your awesome, but do it in a tasteful way without rubbing someone else’s nose in it.
Thank you is a powerful phrase. If someone does something nice for you, thank them! There are so many bloggers that do helpful things out of the goodness of their heart, and not expect anything in return. Selflessness is a great quality. Show your appreciation when someone does something nice for you.
I’d love for you to take a look at my good friend Heather’s post over on Crazy Beautiful Makeup! So tell me, is there anything I can do to help YOU today? Let me know in the comments below! We would be so appreciative if you shared our posts, if you found them to be helpful.
