Nexxus New York Salon Care products are the answer to getting that freshly blown out, smooth, yet bouncy perfect hair day look – at home! I take pride in taking care of my health and well-being, but I also want my outer beauty to shine. For me personally, when I look good, I feel my most confident. I like to make an effort to look pulled together on even my most rushed and hectic days. In the Summer especially, it can be all too easy to get caught up in the dirty hair Mom ponytail everyday. I have found that by using the correct products after washing my hair, I can get a day or two longer out of my hairstyle.
For the past few weeks I’ve been testing the Nexxus New York Salon Care line. I have details of the eight products I tried, and which ones have become holy grail beauty staples.
Nexxus New York Salon Care products contain premium salon quality ingredients to leave hair fluid, enriched, beautiful, and looking like you just left the salon.
Nexxus New York Salon Care Therappe Rebalancing Shampoo – this silicone free formula rebuilds broken bonds and replenishes nutrients. Contains caviar complex, which is rich in protein and nutrients. Coconut oil in the formula adds softness. The best thing? It smells like banana coconut. It’s like a tropical vacation in your shower!
Nexxus New York Salon Care Humectress Restoring Conditioner – Smooths and protects hair while detangling. Contains caviar complex and coconut oil. I find I need less of this conditioner than others in my shower. Works very well to detangle thick, heavy hair.
Nexxus New York Salon Care Restoring Masque – Deep Conditioner intensely moisturizes hair and targets dry areas. The masque is especially great after I dye my hair, or a day in the sun and pool.
Humectress Luxe Lightweight Conditioning Mist – This fine mist imparts brilliant shine and improves manageability. Conditioning polymers give hair a light hold without residue. This is a must have in humid weather. A few sprays cuts down on areas of my hair that tend to be frizzy and stubborn.
Humectress Encapsulate Serum – This lightweight conditioning oil is encapsulated in pearls and suspended in water rich rebuilding serum. Contains caviar complex and coconut oil to repair, restore, and add softness. I really like using this serum before blow drying and either using my flat iron or curling wand. It doesn’t add any weight to my hair, but it protects from heat styling. The serum can be used on wet or dry hair.
Mousse + Volumizing Foam – This mousse has been a long time favorite of mine. The Nexxus New York Salon Care mousse is by far the best for thick hair. It doesn’t leave a crunchy or sticky feel, but adds a ton of volume. It contains keratin proteins to protect your style from humidity.
Maxximum Finishing Mist – This strong hold finishing mist is no joke. It will hold a curl in the softest of hair. It works great in humidity. If straight hair is your thing, it does a great job of holding a smooth style as well.
Dry Shampoo Refreshing Mist – I have a new favorite dry shampoo. This smells better than any of my others, and I’ve tried a “few.” Not only is the smell fabulous for freshening hair, it doesn’t leave a chalky white film.
My Nexxus New York Salon Care hair selfie is below. I did a super fast hair style on day two hair. First I worked two pumps of the Humectress Encapsulate Serum through my straight hair. I applied the dry shampoo to refresh my hair, added some waves with my curling wand, and sprayed the finished look with the Maxximum Finishing Mist. The look took less than 10 minutes, and held all day!
My top picks from the Nexxus New York Salon Care products I tried are the shampoo and conditioner, conditioning mist, mousse, and dry shampoo. To be honest, I loved the entire line and wouldn’t hesitate to repurchase any of the items once I’m out. have you tried anything from this brand? Let me know your thoughts!
