I’ve been hard at work testing lots of natural brands these days. I guess I can’t really say that, because it’s fun to test new beauty and skin care products, right??
Real Purity is a family run brand founded by Virginia Easterling decades before the green beauty movement. (Way back in the 80s!) She created Real Purity with her biochemistry background, love for natural ingredients, and the desire to find all natural alternatives to toxic products. To this day, it is a family run business with a passion for customer service, high quality ingredients, and fair prices. Real Purity products are cruelty free, and also never contain parabens, sulfates, aluminum, lead, nickel, artificial fragrances, synthetics, toxins or GMOs. Many products are also vegan and gluten free.
I recently chose an assortment of products from Real Purity and after some testing, I’d like to give you my thoughts.
Powder Blush: Chablis, Frosted Orchid, Pearl Mocha
I’m impressed with the pigmentation of the Powder Blushes. I love neutral toned Chablis, and cool purple toned Frosted Orchid. Pearl Mocha was a bit powdery and light for my skin.
Lipstick: Grape Sherbet, Lavender Rose, Parfait
The lipsticks are probably my favorite product. I love the formula which contains aloe vera, sweet almond oil, candellila wax, and antioxidants. I found the texture to have just enough moisture, but it also has some staying power. Lavender Rose is my new favorite, and this cool toned pinky shade is a much cleaner formula compared to my very similar toned favorite MAC shade, Hot Gossip. If you love pinks, Parfait is a must have cheerful shade!
Berry Kiss Lipgloss
This bright pink-red gloss gives a hint of color and loads of shine. The formula boasts lots of moisturizing ingredients like vitamin e, macadamia and avocado oils, aloe vera, mango seed butter, and beeswax. It has a sweet strawberry scent and flavor. I tend to use it over lipstick or liner.
Hydrating Body Soap (orange & vanilla)
I love a good moisturizing bar soap, and this fits the bill. It’s got a light scent, and cleans my skin gently and thoroughly.
Sweet Citrus Body Wash
This is the one miss from my order. I wasn’t crazy about the fragrance, and felt it was almost too gentle. I guess I like a tiny bit of lather with my body wash. Not a bad product by any means, it just didn’t work for me.
Pure Perfume
I am beyond thrilled to have found a natural perfume that is completely unique, unexpected, and so classy! If I didn’t know this was natural, and did a blind test, I would guess it was a Chanel perfume, minus the headache. I am a huge perfume lover, but lately so many of my favorites are giving me headaches and leaving me feeling ill.
Real Purity says this is a magnolia, jasmine, and vanilla based scent. If you look at the ingredients, there are many more oils listed, making it completely complex and mysterious. I adore it! On me, I primarily smell amber, vanilla, sandalwood, and jasmine. You can order a sample of this from Real Purity before committing to a full bottle.
Real Purity is currently running a 25% your entire order special if you fill out a makeup consult. They run specials frequently, so make sure you connect on social media and sign up for their newsletter as well. I’d love to hear your experience if you have or plan to try anything from Real Purity!
