I have been loving the current series we have been doing in the Beauty Spotlight Team! I love to see fellow bloggers most repurchased beauty items. This week it’s my turn to share. Being a product junkie, it was REALLY hard to narrow this down to a decent sized list. The following 7 makeup and skin care items are my holy grails, ride or die, deserted island must haves.
I’ll start with the skin care. I have been using Repechage skin care for my acne prone skin for the past year, and I swear by this line. I purchase it from my esthetician (Sylvie at the Wax Specialists), but you can find it online at Dermstore. My skin loves the salicylic acid and zinc oxide pimple fighting goodness in the Clear Complexion Drying Lotion. I did an entire post about my acne and skin care routine here.
I use as many natural body care products as I possibly can. One brand I come back to over and over is ShiKai. I love the Coconut Hand & Body lotion, and also the shower gel. The Yuzu also smells amazing, if you love a refreshing citrus scent.
Let’s move on to the fun stuff – MAKEUP!!
If I had to choose ONE favorite makeup product, it would hands down be the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream. I use this almost like a primer before my CC Cream or foundation. The best way to apply is to dot on red areas of your face, and buff in with a tiny kabuki brush. I use this eyeshadow brush set from Beauty Junkees for applying Bye Bye Redness.
I have been using IT Cosmetics CC+ Cream for years, and I am never without several shade options. It is just the best in terms of coverage, and ease. I like to apply this cream with my fingers and can go without a concealer when I use it. I need to set it with powder, especially if I’m going to be in the sun. With spf 50, I use this multi tasker as sunscreen and foundation in the Summer months.
The best eyebrow product for my thin, sparse brows is the NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Taupe. It’s the perfect neutral ashy tone, and has a really precise tip.
Another foundation I really love is Maybelline’s Fit Me Matte + Poreless. I have multiple shades in my makeup collection, so that I always have a match. This isn’t as full coverage as the IT CC cream, but I love the lightweight feel and medium coverage it gives. This is super for acne prone and oily skin. It’s also great that it’s only around $8.
Now you know my must have makeup and skin care products, I’m dying to know yours! Leave me a comment below and let me know what products you are never without.
