Pure Natural Diva Botanicals Whisper Body Spray

*sample for honest review*

I’ve raved about Pure Natural Diva Botanicals before. I love their products and philosophy! I recently have been using two organic Pure Natural Diva Whisper body sprays. My sleep scent is Natural, with notes of clary sage, pink grapefruit, Moroccan rose, and soothing ylang ylang. It’s such a soothing and grounding scent. I also love layering Diva Whisper body spray with my Whipped Body butter in the same scent. That’s my go to combo when I want to feel sexy and confident! The notes in Diva are natural musk derived from ambrette, smooth new Caledonian sandalwood, blended together in a luscious vanilla.

Olfactif September 2014

*pr sample for review, affiliate links*

This month’s Olfactif was my favorite month yet. “That Which We Call A Rose” contains three amazing scents, all rose, yet all very different! Even if you think you don’t like rose scents, I dare you to try this month’s box. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with the three unique takes on rose from Olfactif.

Lady Vengeance – Juliette Has A Gun – Sounds menacing doesn’t it?! Nope, this scent is innocent, soft and sweet musky rose. The patchouli grounds it and gives it lasting power. I was shocked to see patchouli in the notes, which I didn’t look at until after testing. It’s really a beautiful fragrance, one that’s suitable for year round. If I had to match this scent to an outfit, it would be comparable to wearing your most favorite soft cashmere sweater and comfy boots on the first crisp autumn day.

notes: Bulgarian rose, vanilla, patchouli. (I promise it’s so much more complex than it would seem!)

Rose Cut – Ann Gerard Parfums – This scent is elegant and refined, classy with its spicy benzoin dry down. There is a hint of green earthiness while wet. This is the strongest of the three scents, and has some serious lasting power!

notes: Aldehydes, rum, pink pepper, rose, peony, patchouli, vanilla, oakmoss, benzoin absolute.

Mohur – Neela Vermeire Creations – It was Olfactif that started my love affair with Neela Vermeire fragrances. Everyone I’ve tried, I have absolutely fallen head over heels for. I was SO excited to see Mohur in this month’s box! This scent is smooth and sexy, and has an edible quality to it. Not a gourmand scent, but mouth-watering. It starts out as a sweet floral, and gets sexier in the dry down when the leather peeks out. This is my favorite scent in the bunch.

notes: Cardamom, coriander, ambrette, carrot, black pepper, elemi oil, Turkish rose, jasmine, violet, orris, hawthorn, almond milk accord, leather, sandalwood, patchouli, oud, benzoin, vanilla, tonka bean.

An Olfactif subscription is $18 per month (you can also do 3, 6 or 12 month plan), and you are reimbursed the full $18 towards a full bottle of the perfumes available that month. Pretty nice way to try some unique niche fragrances! What do you think about these scents? Anything you’d like to try??

Signature Fragrances – Deja Vu and Lola Perfume Oils

*sample provided for honest review*

Signature Fragrances is a new London perfumer, claiming to have the most pungent fragrances in the world. There’s a bit of mystery surrounding the details of the perfumes, as they are not available until September. I don’t have a list of notes, prices, bottle pics or anything specific. Oooooh, mysterious….
I have samples of Lola and Deja Vu to share my thoughts on.

Lola is labeled as MODERN TOUCHsensual, salient, calm, fruity and sweet. I’d also like to add floral and innocent to the description. I *think* there may be orange blossom, maybe ylang-ylang and vetiver in there? I’m really curious to know what notes comprise this perfume oil. It’s a beautiful soft and feminine scent on me. It’s got great throw, and lasting power. A small dab lasted ALL day on my skin.

Deja Vu is described as OVERBEARING DESIRE delicious, wild, fruity, spicy, warm. I also think this is a soft, smooth, delicious, edible scent. A gourmand but not too heavy. It’s heavy on the coconut (not beachy coconut, but sexy thick black coconut) when it’s wet. It stays sweet throughout it’s drydown. This baby has some serious sillage. I used a tiny dab and it’s potent. This is a perfect example of my perfect scent. Gourmand but not TOO sweet and cloying. Foody and sweet, sugary and reminiscent of pure vanilla extract. I am absolutely in LOVE with this perfume and will cherish my sample!

Pink MahogHany Fragrances

Pink MahogHany Fragrance is a niche luxury perfume line that’s phthalate-free for sensitive noses. Each batch is handmade in small batches with the best ingredients.

The Pink MahogHany line currently consists of 4 fragrances. Here’s what perfumista and creator, Chavalia, says about her beautiful works of art.

Sunrise – For the sassy woman who’s so over traditional citrus orange scents. Fresh. Invigorating. Soft. Feminine. Sultry. Warm.

Ethereal Transluscence – With aromatic notes of rosemary and crisp lemon, this shared fragrance is powerful enough for a guy but not so overwhelming that a woman with style can’t pull off comfortably.

SignaTure – Signature shared fragrance with hints of mint, citruses and “green” notes

French Cuffs – For the dapper man who fancies himself a trip to France – in a bottle. Think fedora and cuff-links. For the man with class, style and has somewhere important to be. Smoky and sweet – yet dry, woody and handsome.

Here’s my thoughts after testing each scent a few times.

Sunrise – starts as a sharp and pungent citrus that’s also somewhat green smelling. Warms to a resinous sweet and fruity scent that strikes me as calming and soothing. This is my favorite fragrance of the bunch, and the one that smells most feminine to me.

Ethereal Translucence – opens herbal and zesty, with a hint of woods. This becomes a fuzzy soft skin scent, and I get a hint of lavender or something herbal. After dry down this scent becomes cedary and warm. I LOVE this for hubby!

SignaTure – wet, it gives off a blast of mint and green and woody. The scent remains strong and has the best throw off the four scents. I like this, but it feels a bit masculine for my taste.

French Cuffs – This is definitely a masculine scent in my opinion. I get a strong dirt (dry soil almost) note, which sweetens quickly into a scent that’s watery and smooth. This is a great scent on my hubby!

I love trying unique niche fragrances, because I always am able to find something new and different. It’s a completely different experience than department store fragrances. If you are sensitive to fragrance, and want to try something unique and natural, I would highly recommend ordering some samples from Pink MahogHany! You can find them on Facebook and Twitter.
