The past two weeks here in New England have finally brought sunny skies and warm days. It’s been so lovely to get outside and enjoy the weather! The only bad thing about going from Winter to Spring is my skin’s reaction. My skin throws a tantrum with the slightest weather change. My typical combination skin gets dry, sensitive, and overly reactive to all but the most gentle of products.
I have been stepping away from anything harsh, and putting down my beloved peels and acids, in favor of a simplified routine with CeraVe.
Check out my morning and nightly routines with CeraVe products below.
Why is CeraVe better for sensitive skin?
CeraVe helps replenish ceramides that are vital for healthy skin.
Not sure what ceramides are and why your skin needs them?
Ceramides are an essential lipid in all four epidermis layers. They improve skin barrier repair, and increase skin’s resistance to aging. Reduction of ceramides may lead to dry and sensitive skin and wrinkles.
CeraVe was developed with dermatologists as the first brand to offer a full line of skin care products to include three vital ceramides. CeraVe’s patented emulsion releases ingredients slowly for skin to absorb, hydrate and nourish, in addition to repair, restore, and maintain skin’s natural protective barrier.
Here’s my easy step by step morning and evening routines with CeraVe.
Morning Cleanse: Wash with the gentle Hydrating Cleanser. This gentle cleanser removes oil and dirt from skin, the ceramides and hyaluronic acid moisturize, soften, and repair your skin’s barrier.
Once skin is dry, apply a generous amount of CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion with spf 30.
Here’s a super easy DIY Beauty hack for you! I’m going to show you how easy it is to make your own CC Cream with CeraVe Sunscreen and foundation.
I mixed equal parts of foundation and CeraVe Sunscreen Face Lotion spf 50. Mix well, and apply to your face with clean fingers. Easy, right? Now you are protected from the sun and you have a nice even complexion! I like to set my face with a bit of powder when I’m going to be outside. The CeraVe sunscreen is titanium dioxide and zinc based, and has a clear matte finish. Perfect for makeup mixing! It also contains ceramides and niacinamide to restore healthy skin and reduce redness.
Evening Cleanse: Remove makeup and wash with the Foaming Facial Cleanser. Follow up with the Moisturizing Cream on your entire face, neck, and chest.
CeraVe is affordable and accessible. You can find all the products I’ve shared with you today at Walmart on rollback until 5/9/16. You can pick up the Hydrating Cleanser, Foaming Facial Cleanser, and Moisturizing Cream for $9.97.
