Tarte Complexion Perfectors

I know the fun part of makeup is trying beautiful colors, textures, and techniques. Before that, it’s imperative that you start with a beautiful “canvas” to work on! If you have less than perfect skin (ME) with issues like acne scarring, redness, textured skin, large pores, and hyperpigmentation, it becomes even more important that you take a little extra effort to perfect your canvas. These days I’ve been heavily relying on a few new products from Tarte, and with great results! Once I’ve finished with my skin care, I apply a small amount of the Tarte Clean Slate Timeless Smoothing Primer. This mousse-cream hybrid feels super light and silky. I pat this into my skin, rather than rub. I pay special attention to the pores around my nose that are larger and larger these days.  There’s a very slight powder-floral scent, but it dissipates immediately once it’s on your skin. I let that set for about 5 minutes before moving on to my Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector and Colored Clay CC Eye Primer. Both of these are peach toned, which goes a long way to neutralize bluish circles under my eyes, and redness and veins on my lids. Both of these correctors are creamy, but do not have too much slip. I don’t have a problem with either product creasing. I follow up under my eyes with IT Cosmetics bye bye undereye in light. I’ve found this is a great combination of products to hide my super dark undereyes! Do you have any tarte favorites?

That eye primer sounds interesting, I’ll have to check it out next time I’m at Sephora.

The under eye corrector sounds great. My must have Tarte product is their Amazonian Clay Waterproof concealer! xo

I will definitely look into the Tarte Under Eye Corrector, and I am planning to pick up the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye in the little round pot. Maybe that’s what I need to do to cover my hyperpigmentation: color correct with one product and cover with another.
