LUSH Holiday Favorites

*pr samples for consideration*

LUSH always has fabulous offerings around the holidays, and this year was no different! Here’s a few of my seasonal favorites, and a few new items that wowed me! LUSH Holiday 2014

This pre-wrapped Joy To The World package contains two vegan favorites from LUSH, Dream Cream Hand and Body Lotion and Snowcake soap. Snowcake is one of my favorite LUSH products. This almond marzipan scented soap is super moisturizing, and always leaves my skin soft. Dream Cream is one of LUSH’s most popular products, and a perfect winter moisturizer.

LUSH Snowcake and Dream Cream

LUSH Baked Alaska & First Snow Powder

The new Baked Alaska soap has a bright color and uplifting citrus scent. If you love “wake me up” scents in the shower or bath, give this a try. Fresh Snow dusting powder is a finely milled citrus scented powder filled with shimmer. It’s said to be the same scent as the Celebrate Body lotion, which I adore. (My 10 year old always tells me I smell like gummy worms when I have Celebrate on! I take that as a compliment from him…). My nose must be weird, because I think this smells like grape bubblegum. I love the scent, but it’s not like Celebrate to me at all! :)

LUSH Butterbear, Dashing Santa & Penguin

A few of my favorite holiday bath bombs: Dashing Santa’s Satsuma scent leaves the water pink, Butterbear has a sweet vanilla scent and chunks of cocoa butter to soften and moisturize skin. The adorable little Christmas Penguin bubble bar has Sicilian mandarin and lemon oils to create a frothy and soothing soak. Do you have any holiday favorites from LUSH?

Skin Care Sunday – Just Natural hair and skin care favorites

*sample for review*

Just Natural operates on the belief that nature provides all the ingredients you need to keep your hair and skin beautiful. Each product is made with love using natural, organic and GMO free ingredients. Just Natural products are always cruelty free, do not contain sulfates, alcohol, parabens, gluten, or chemicals. They are also vegan.

Today I am sharing with you my favorites from Just Natural! If you could only pick up one item from them, I’d have to say try the Body Nutritive Serum. I am obsessed with this serum-oil and it’s rose geranium scent. Packed with moisture power houses, like Avocado, Kukui Nut, and Peach Kernel oils, this serum is gentle and soothing for the driest of skins. It comes in an 8oz spray bottle, which you will find is ample for using it freely. My little tip, you can also use this for a bath oil and to smooth the ends of your hair!
The Cuticle and Nail serum is a heavy duty nail oil that will whip problem cuticles into shape. The ingredients in the cuticle oil are: Sea Buckthorn Oil, Jojoba Oil, Kukui Nut Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Avocado Oil, Chamomile Essential Oil, Manuka Essential Oil, Carrot Seed Essential Oil, Sesame Seed Oil, Natural Vitamin E. This is a heavy oil, so I reserve it for overnight treatment. It also has a fairly pungent herbal aroma, but it’s so luscious that I can deal with that!

I’m also fond of the generously sized tub of Cleansing Conditioner, and the Daily Moisturizing Body Wash. The body wash has skin nurturing oils and orange blossom essential oil, which smells AH-mazing! If you have dry or sensitive skin, this is a must have product!  Just Natural has a huge product list, something for everyone! Have you tried anything from Just Natural?

Tarte Best In Faux Lashes

*sample for review, affiliate links*

I love lush dramatic lashes. I also don’t do falsies. This mascara is my new best friend! I’m surprised at how easy this lash extending fiber mascara is to use and remove. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I had fabulous results! The Tarte Best In Faux Lashes comes with a mini Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and a tube of lash extending fibers. It’s very easy to apply, just curl your lashes (if you normally do) and apply a coat of the LCL mascara. Then pat the fibers on as directed, and set them with another coat of LCL. You have lush black lashes that are long and thick!

What I Loved:

  • easy to apply and remove
  • no flakes or smudges
  • not irritating
  • lasted all day
  • helps hold a curl in straight lashes

I can’t recommend this mascara duo highly enough! I’ve tried so many mascaras that just weigh my lashes down, but this doesn’t. My lashes are straight and very stubborn. This holds a curl all day without any fiber fall out on my face. Tarte is quickly becoming one of my favorite brands, with a great line of high quality and cruelty free makeup. You can find the Tarte Best in Faux Lashes at Sephora for $19. You’ll get a .10oz tube of Tarte’s popular 4-in-1 Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara and 0.028oz tube of nylon lash fibers. The mascara is vegan and cruelty free, and free from parabens and phthalates.

Have you tried this mascara? How do you like your lashes, natural or bold?

Fusion of Color Cosmetics swatches

*samples provided for honest review*

Fusion of Color Cosmetics is a new to me brand of cruelty free (and many vegan) mineral cosmetics. The owner, Kathy, is passionate about her line and her love for mineral makeup truly shows in her high quality products. I recently had the opportunity to choose a few items out that I’d like to give a review on.

I have three mineral eyeshadows: Frosty Morning (light beige pink), Timeless (light golden brown with slight sheen) and Black Orchid (blackened purple shimmer). I’ve also swatched two blush shades:Peach Frenzy (medium matte peach) and Emberglow (coral shimmer, pink toned). The shadows and blush are absolutely gorgeous, color and texture wise. Mineral makeup always lasts longer than regular on my skin. The Black Orchid is an absolute MUST HAVE!! I love to use it on a damp brush and apply it as an eyeliner.

I also tested out a lanolin based lip treatment called Lip Magic. I have very dry lips, and this product really is magic. I use it before bed because it’s sticky and doesn’t smell terrific, which is typical of lanolin! You can also find makeup brushes and a variety of skin care at Fusion of Color.
